WildWorks‘ Animal Jam—Play Wild! was named “Best App for Kids” at the Google Play Awards at Google I/O 2017, which highlighted the year’s best app and games across twelve categories. With more than 85 billion apps and games downloaded on Google Play over the past year, Animal Jam was chosen from the five nominated kid-focused apps for its family-friendly design that encourages creativity, exploration and education for kids.
The twelve winners were selected by cross-functional teams throughout Google who work hand-in-hand with the relevant categories and product areas. Each category had its own specific criteria, but met common requirements for all chosen apps including high star ratings, freshness, and technical performance.
In Animal Jam–Play Wild!, players can chat with friends, play games, and learn about the natural world around them from in-game videos, animal facts, and downloadable e-books. The app has garnered over 5.5 million lifetime downloads and has consistently been among the top three most-downloaded apps for iOS and Android devices in the Kids and Family categories in the U.S. The app is available for free in the Amazon App Store, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.
