The fifth Kids India trade show in Mumbai, taking place from Sept. 20 to 22, will feature a second panel discussion focused on the value of play. Industry leaders and prominent childcare experts will underline the importance of toys as a comprehensive learning aid for children.
The first Panel Discussion, held in New Delhi in July, discussed the increasingly important topic of toy safety as Indian demand for high-quality toys continues to grow. The panel discussion established consensus that toys are one of the most integral aids to a child’s overall development, helping to shape both aptitude and personality.
Various studies have shown that children who receive affection and attention in early childhood—those who are played with, read to, and talked to—are happier and grow to have a better cognitive capacity.
Play value and the subject of the first panel discussion on toy safety will be advanced at the fifth Kids India. The extensive choice of seminars and workshops will place a particular focus on these areas, featuring experts from reputed testing institutes, manufacturers and retailers.
Kids India will also take a look at the latest toy trends. Spotlighting the new Trending Now area in 2017, Kids India will give retailers guidance in selecting a product range that is in tune with market needs. Three major global trends identified by the Spielwarenmesse’s TrendCommittee, point the way ahead for the Indian market: “Girl Power,” “Body and Mind,” and “Train Your Brain.”
In addition, the 2018 Spielwarenmesse will focus on baby and infant products. Taking place from January 31 to February 4, the fair will showcase a selection of toys for babies and toddlers. Two halls and a special area will serve as the central hub for this product segment.
