Activision, Hasbro Igniting Home Gaming with Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark

Activision Publishing Inc. and Hasbro Inc. are collaborating on Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark, a video game complement to Paramount Pictures‘ Transformers: Age of Extinction, which arrives in theaters in June. Players get to choose from more than 40 playable characters, derived from both movie director Michael Bay’s Transformers universe as well as the ever-popular Cybertron universe, as they battle over the Dark Spark.

Along with running-and-gunning combat and vehicle gameplay, the new installment will mark the return of the fan-favorite multiplayer mode, Escalation, which features wave-based, survival-style gameplay for up to four players online cooperatively. Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo‘s Wii U and 3DS systems.
