More than 150 specialty toy manufacturers are expected to participate in ASTRA’s (American Specialty Toy Retailing Association) seventh annual Neighborhood Toy Store Day on Nov. 12. Participating stores will offer play day kits, giveaways, raffle items, and product discounts.
The theme for this year’s celebration is, “The fun is so close!” which highlights the importance of shopping local and spotlights the products and events available at locally-owned toy stores. The event is celebrated in the U.S. and Canada and is designed to be a community-based kickoff to the holiday shopping season.
To support retailers, ASTRA provides complementary theme designs that include digital files for posters, ad slicks, social media graphics, and more; press release templates for before and after the event; the official Neighborhood Toy Store Day logo; and a planning guide and fact sheet to use as talking points with the community and the media.
