Halloween & Party Expo Expands Product Categories

Halloween & Party Expo 2018 will be held from January 12 to 15 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Next year’s show floor will host new and expanded product categories, and introduce a number of exhibitors who are new to the event. Ozobot Releases Updated Evo

Ozobot‘s recently updated its Evo, a completely connected robot that encourages creative thinking and social interaction for kids ages 8 and up. The revamped app-connected Evo features three new tricks, an updated on-boarding experience, and an upgraded app. The pocket-sized, coding robot has proximity and optical sensors, a built-in speaker, and Bluetooth smart capability. Hot Wheels, Pley Partner for Kids’ Subscription Box

Hot Wheels and pley.com will launch Challenge Accepted subscription boxes that will let kids create, experiment, and build stunts with Hot Wheels cars. Sprig Returns to the Market with New Toys

Sprig toys will return to the market with a new eco-friendly, bioplastic toy line made from sugar cane and corncobs. A Kickstarter campaign was launched to help fund the production of its toys. Originally created by toymakers David Bowen and Chris Clemmer, Sprig was bought out in 2010 by Wham-O. One year later, Bowen and Clemmer founded BeginAgain to continue to produce unplugged toys for seven years. Bowen and Clemmer bought back Sprig, and new manufacturing jobs will return to the U.S. from China. Sakar Launches New Line of Classic Games Bluetooth Speakers

Sakar International launched a new line of molded, Bluetooth speakers with classic game brands, including Simon, Rubik’s Cube, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Galaga. The new line of Bluetooth speakers will feature interactive designs for a more experiential way to listen to music. The Simon speaker offers the traditional design as the game, complete with light-up, colored sections.
