Temple Run Wins Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, Unveils New Licensing Partnerships

Dimensional Branding Group (DBG), the licensing agency for Imangi Studios, announced today that Temple Run has won Nickelodeon’s annual Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite App. Temple Run beat Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, and Minecraft for the award.

Nickelodeon said more than 387 million votes were cast online in more than 22 countries, in 20 categories, spanning film, television, books, music, and sport for the stunt-filled annual award show.

More then just a game, Dimensional Branding has extended the Temple Run brand to include children’s sleepwear by Komar, digital comics with Ape Entertainment, and card and board games with Spin Master, among other licensing partnerships.

Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. Announces First Winner in Hometown Heroes Program

Bandai Co., Ltd. and Sync Beatz Entertainment celebrate the spirit of philanthropy by announcing Carole Pearson as the first winner of its Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. Hometown Heroes program. Pearson is being recognized for her work in advocating for homeless dogs. A $5,000 contribution has been made in Pearson’s honor to her animal rescue group, The Dawg Squad.

Hasbro Named Among Ethisphere’s World’s Most Ethical Companies for Second Consecutive Year

Hasbro, Inc. has been recognized as one of The Ethisphere Institute’s World’s Most Ethical Companies (WME) for the second year in a row. Ethisphere received a record number of nominations for the 2013 WME list.

Hasbro’s commitment to responsible business practices can be seen through the company’s ongoing efforts in sustainable packaging innovation. Last year, Hasbro announced plans to reduce materials used in product packaging for many of its highly popular global brands and, beginning this year, Hasbro will phase out PVC in new toy and game product packaging. President of The Alexander Doll Company Receives Wonder Women of Toys Award

Gale Jarvis, president of The Alexander Doll Company, was named Manufacturer of the Year at the Women in Toys’ 9th annual Wonder Women of Toys Licensing and Entertainment Awards dinner held during the American International Toy Fair. The annual dinner recognizes and celebrates the most outstanding women in the toy industry. The Wonder Women of Toys award was presented to Gale Jarvis by Shirley Price of Funrise.

During Jarvis’ tenure, the Alexander Doll Company has developed licensed brands, including Madeline, Eloise, Fancy Nancy, Pinkalicious, Radio City Rockettes, Peanuts, Olivia, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives, and more.

Jarvis spearheaded and is credited with the company’s venture into a new category of fashion dolls, which has included couture dolls styled by innovative fashion designers like Jason Wu.
