Skechers USA Inc. has partnered with Jakks Pacific Inc. to launch a new line of dolls based on Skechers’ popular Twinkle Toes character. The initial launch includes four unique dolls that stand 6.5 inches in height, and are dressed in colorful, fashion-forward outfits and light-up Skechers Twinkle Toes shoes.
Atari has entered into a collaborative publishing agreement with Dynamite for a comprehensive retrospective hardcover book, which would collect game production and concept artwork, photos, behind-the-scenes info, marketing art, and interviews with key people involved in Atari’s history. The deal also includes the right to create original comics and graphic novels in all sizes, as well as reprint existing comic material.
At Comic-Con International: San Diego, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed details about Doctor Who appearing in the upcoming Lego Dimensions. Peter Capaldi, who plays the 12th Doctor; Jenna Coleman, who plays Clara Oswald; and Michelle Gomez, who plays Missy, will voice their respective characters from the long running British science fiction TV series in the game.
Toy State has entered into a worldwide partnership with Sébastien Loeb Racing (SLR), a deal that includes both race sponsorships and product licensing components. The four-year global licensing agreement grants Toy State exclusive rights to develop ranges of toys in the R/C and lights and sound categories.
Hasbro’s Special Edition Comic-Con International Toys Include Jem, My Little Pony, Transformers, and More
Hasbro Inc. is attending Comic-Con International in San Diego with special edition action figures and toys drawn from its popular brands and licenses. Along with items tied to movies, animated series, comics, and video games—such as My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the classic Transformers cartoon—the toymaker is showing off licensed properties for Star Wars and Marvel.
The last of Dynacraft’s Experiments in Fun events is scheduled to take place in Portland on Saturday. For one day only, kids are invited to wheel over to Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square to find a biker-themed pop-up juice joint, set inside a fully transformed shipping container complete with a temporary tattoo parlor and a karaoke stage.
