Odyssey Toys IntroducesDrones, Virtual Reality, and more at NYTF

Odyssey Toys showcased its latest drones, virtual reality solutions, and flying machines at The North American International Toy Fair in New York City, including the Pocket Drone, Turbo Runner NX, and Galaxy Seeker II.

The Pocket Drone is the first collapsing video drone that is lightweight and can fit into user’s pockets. The size of an iPhone 6, this first generation version features collapsible blades that can be tucked neatly inside the unit for easy transport, along with a carry case and remote. With the built-in 720p High-Definition camera, users can capture video and pictures that save directly to the included 4GB Micro SD Card. The Pocket Drone features next-generation gyro technology, ensuring operation both indoors and outdoors with incredible stability, as well as 2.4 Ghz WiFi technology, USB charging, and LEDs for night flying.

The Turbo Runner NX, a miniature version of Odyssey Toys’ Sky Runner NX, is a master of all tricks. Mimicking a design that was developed in conjunction with the US Navy for a real life UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), the Turbo Runner NX fears no trick thanks to its patented cage, which minimizes any force of impact.

The Galaxy Seeker II provides users with the completely new flying experience of a high-performance drone thanks to first-person view (FPV) video recording and virtual reality (VR) capabilities. The Galaxy Seeker II offers  agile, 360 degree maneuvering and a real-time 5.8 Ghz digital remote and high definition video feed. Through the Galaxy Seeker II’s VR phone app and included VR headset, users can record and save videos and images directly to the provided 4GB Micro SD card. With built-in Headless SmartFly technology, the Galaxy Seeker II is compatible with Google Cardboard, giving thrill seekers a 3-D video flying experience.

The Pocket Drone, Turbo Runner NX, and Galaxy Seeker II will be available this spring.

Buzz Bee Toys Signs Licensing Agreement with The Walking Dead Comic Series

The new products include a six shot dart blaster with automatic advance that blast darts up to 72 feet and a side by side double barrel dart blaster with a secret storage compartment for extra darts.

TOMY Releases Zootopia Inspired Line of Toys

TOMY_blue_logoTOMY released a new line of toys inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios feature film Zootopia. The line includes figures, vehicles, playsets, role-play, and plush toys that capture character personalities with lights, sounds, and songs to inspire fans to recreate the fun of Zootopia.

Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where animals of all sizes work and play together. TOMY’s new line of toys offers 12 character choices from the largest elephant to the smallest shrew. Also available will be two talking plush and Judy’s police cruiser, carrot recorder, and clip badge.

Alex Brands Introduces More Than 350 New Products at NYTF 2016

AlexBrandsAlex Brands launched more than 350 products in spa, crafts and Do-It-Yourself (DIY), outdoor/active, STEM, infant/preschool categories at the North American International Toy Fair.

Spa, crafts, and DIY categories include Layer & Wear Watercolor Tattoos, the Sweet Scent Sprinkle Nails kit, and My Lites Custom Streaks to add fashion products for tweens. The outdoor/active category includes the Poof Tunnel Ball, Fling Flyer, the Ultra-Tek Cyclonic, and Stingray that add creativity to physical play.

The STEM category includes the Scientific Explorer Young Architect City Planner and CitiBlocs allowing kids to become urban planning skills. The infant and preschool categories include the Rouge Kaloo collection featuring a family animals, the new Janod collection, and a 300-piece puzzle the Giant World Map.

Alex Brands also expanded its licensed product offering with fresh new activities for Nickelodeon’s animated series Shimmer and Shine and Blaze and the Monster Machines. Alex Brands has also partnered with Universal Studios for the July 2016 animated movie release The Secret Life of Pets.

VTech Expands its Electronic Learning Products Line

VTech revealed its new lineup of electronic learning products for kids, including an expandable learning desk with interactive activity cards; new themes for the Go! Go! Smart lines; an expansion of Baby Amaze; VTech’s baby doll line; and more than 40 new baby, infant and preschool products.

The Touch & Learn Activity Desk Deluxe is an expandable, three-in-one learning desk with interactive activity cards.  The new deluxe version features an interactive desktop, an LED display, and engaging content including letters, numbers, and music.

The Go! Go! Smart Line is expanding its Friends, Wheels and Animals lines featuring more than 100 different play sets, accessories, vehicles, animals, and figures.

Baby Amaze combines classic role-play, technology, and developmental learning to create the Learn to Talk & Read Baby Doll that stimulates reading skills and the interactive Peek & Learn Doll to teach cause-and-effect concepts.

VTech is expanding its core baby, infant and preschool lines to introduce more than 40 new products designed for each child’s unique age and stage. Some of the products include On-the-Moove Activity Bar, Care for Me Learning Carrier, and Mix & Move Bizzy.

KD Group Features Kurio Watch, a Smartwatch for Kids at NYFT

KD Group will showcase the Kurio Watch, a Bluetooth smartwatch for kids ages 6 to 12 at the North American International Toy Fair in New York City. The watch is sized to fit kids’ wrists comfortably, has a sleek design, an adjustable silicone band, and features a responsive touch screen with high resolution. The watch is set to launch at major retailers across the U.S. and online in the fall.

The Kurio Watch has a customizable interface that allows kids to choose from licensed characters including Transformers, My Little Pony, Littlest Pet Shop, and Pokemon. It also has 128 MB internal memory (expandable by microSD card), a high-quality camera and video recorder, music player, built-in speaker and microphone, accelerometer, plus 20 fun mini-games and apps.

Bluetooth technology allows kids to connect safely with other Kurio watches and tablets, as well as family member’s Android devices, to message each other, share photos and vidoes, and play multiplayer games.

Wild Republic Soars with Audubon Birds
