Disney Interactive and Lucasfilm launched Star Wars Rise Against the Empire for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, a new Play Set that takes place during the original Star Wars trilogy. Developed by Studio Gobo, in partnership with Avalanche Software, the Play Set takes players through the iconic moments and adventures from Episodes IV through VI, including the characters, vehicles, and locations. Mattel has partnered with Toy State, manufacturer of stylized lights-and-sound radio controlled (R/C) vehicles for a Barbie R/C. Toy State will manufacture an innovative lineup of Barbie licensed and custom R/C vehicles under the Nikko franchise. The Barbie R/C vehicles are scheduled to hit retail stores in the U.S. and Canada starting next fall.
For the first time, customers can purchase the 2015 Hess Toy Truck at 10 select shopping malls throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The new truck will be revealed in late October, and will be available online on November 1 at www.hesstoytruck.com. Customers can begin purchasing the toy at Queens Center, Kings Plaza, Green Acres, and Broadway in New York; Paramus Park, Woodbridge Center, Willowbrook, and Cherry Hill in New Jersey; and Willow Grove Park and Capital City in Pennsylvania beginning November 12.

This Sunday, Skylanders SuperChargers, from Activision Publishing Inc., will arrive at North American retailers. The new game features Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Hammer Slam Bowser, two of Nintendo’s iconic characters, re-imagined as Skylanders for Wii U system starter packs, as well as in Skylanders SuperChargers Racing Starter Packs for the Nintendo Wii and 3DS systems.
Playsmart Labs Inc. aims to explore children’s creativity both on and off tablets with the Creativas Design Studio app, which launches this month. The app invites users to join a group of talented young teenagers who are invited into an elite art school for creative designers. Over the course of 14 fully animated app-isodes, kids can follow the Creativas and be awarded for their creativity.
