Stephen Joseph has entered into a licensing agreement with Cardinal Industries for a variety of games and puzzles including cardboard, wood, and foam puzzles and playing and memory card games. All of the items will feature the art and imagery of the Steven Joseph brand. The Brand Liaison created the deal.
Steven Joseph products will be shown at Cardinal’s booth at Fall Toy Preview in Dallas from Sept. 27 to 29.
Lego Dimensions Expansion Packs Based on The Lego Batman Movie and Knight Rider Set for February Release
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed details around its three highly collectible Batman-themed expansion packs for Lego Dimensions that will be available on Feb. 10. Welspun has secured the “Interactive Textile Article and Augmented Reality System” patent, which protect Welspun’s new product line Tilt. The patent covers a system that has textile material with a design motif and an augmented reality software application. The software application is designed to allow a user to scan the design motif on the textile material, and enter an augmented reality portal that is thematically related to the design motif. Designed for kids ages 5 and older, the full line of fashion dolls will launch next year and will include TV and marketing support. The Regal Academy toy line will be unveiled at next week’s Fall Toy Preview in Dallas.
First revealed at The Toy Insider’s Holiday of Play event, the Bloxels Box Set will be available at major retailers nationwide on Oct. 1. From a partnership between Mattel and Pixel Press, Bloxels is a hands-on building system that lets kids create their own video games directly onto the physical Bloxels Gameboard, and then activate it on the Bloxels Builder App on a mobile device to play out the game.
Made for ages 8 and up, kids will be able to build layouts of video games, use the blocks on the gameboard to build characters, use the app to capture a picture of the Gameboard and to customize it, and to challenge friends to beat a level that they built.
The updated Bloxels Box Set will feature design challenges specific to the Gameboard to truly integrate the physical and digital play.
Playmobil and DreamWorks Animation signed a licensing agreement for How to Train Your Dragon with a collection of original Playmobil sets die to release next fall. MasterPieces Puzzle Co. will combine its new license for the game Spot It! with professional and collegiate sports organizations. MasterPieces received the license for Spot It! from Asmodee North America, and then teamed up with The National Football League, National Hockey League, and NCAA to franchise the card game.
