The Toy Industry Foundation and partner My Stuff Bags Foundation delivered 50 “My Stuff” duffel bags to two incoming classes of kindergarten students at Mott Haven Academy in the Bronx, Ny., on Sept. 13. The bags were filled with homemade blankets, school supplies, stuffed animals, toys, and toiletries. Mott Haven is the nation’s only public charter school for at-risk students in foster care or the child welfare system.

New LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes to Save the Day
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games are partnering to create LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. The game is now available in North America for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, the Wii, Windows PC, Nintendo DS/Nintendo 3DS handheld systems, and PlayStation Vita handheld system. The video game is a sequel to LEGO Batman: the Videogame.
In LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, gamers team up with Batman, Robin, and other classic superheroes such as Superman, Wonderwoman, and the Flash. Players embrace the roles of the Caped Crusader, Boy Wonder, and others to go against Lex Luthor and The Joker.

Baby Aspen Launches New Line of Clothing, Accessories
Baby Aspen, a manufacturer of boutique baby gifts, has a new line of baby clothing and accessories that will begin showcasing late this summer.

Photos: Worms Keyring Plush Collection Premieres
AT New Media and Team 17 have launched the Worms Keyring Plush collection from IGS, based on the turn-based strategy video game franchise.
The new range, licensed by AT New Media and Worms creator Team 17, features a detailed series of plush in an initial line of four different characters (Original Worm, Army Worm, Pirate Worm, and the Super Sheep). Products are also available in multiple traditional collectible plush sizes. The new range adds to the Worms lineup of apparel, squeezies, mugs, figurines, collectibles, and more. New partners are currently being sought for multiple product categories.
Newark Children Receive Hundreds of Toys in Holiday Giveaway

On December 17, children in need from the West Ward neighborhood of Newark, N.J. received hundreds of toys from the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) as part of a special holiday giveaway hosted by Franciscan Charities. In attendance were representatives from TIF and Franciscan Charities, as well as elves (local volunteers) and a special appearance by Santa.
More than 700 toys were distributed to more than 600 children. The gifts were among the 500,000 toys donated throughout the year by toy industry manufacturers to The Toy Bank. Gifts were also donated via TIF’s annual Holiday Toy Drive, which is held each year from November 1 to December 31. To date, more than 175,000 toys, valued at more than $2.5 million, have been donated for this year’s Holiday Toy Drive.
Toys for the Newark event were donated by Kid O Products; Pretty Ugly, LLC; Briarpatch, Inc.; and New Adventures, LLC.
