Ludorum’s first preschool property, Chuggington, will premiere on Playhouse Disney in the U.S. on January 18. The train-centric series features 26 interactive episodes, following three best friends who explore, work, and play. Each episode teaches social-emotional values for “riding the rails of life.”

Chuggington debuted in the UK on BBC Two in September 2008 and CBeebies in January 2009. The CGI-animated show is also broadcasted in France, Australia, Germany, Japan, and Canada. Episodes will air Tuesday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT and weekends at 7:30 a.m. ET/PT.

My 3 year old Jacob loves Chuggington. He sits quietly and watches it. We cannot bother him when it is on. He loves trains and I am so glad that Disney finally came out with a show that has trains in it. I can’t wait til the movies and toys come out because I am sure we will have it all. He has all the monorail stuff and he asks me daily for Chuggington stuff. This is a HUGE hit.

We LOVE Chuggington! My 23 month old is just loving it. He doesn’t care too much for many of the other shows but is a huge train lover and in complete trance when this comes on. I’m so happy there’s a train show thats cute and educational and even a little diverse (there was a male nurse on the one episode, thats great!) since I find Thomas to be a little dry. We can’t wait for Chuggington merchandise – he’s going to love it.

This show is GREAT!!! My 18 month old son can’t get enough of it. We had to record all the episodes so far. If you ask him if he wants to watch Chuggington he runs to the tv and starts to dance. He can’t take his eyes off the screen. This is the first show he will actually sit and watch the whole thing and never move! I can’t wait for the toys to come out, I know they are going to be a huge hit at my house. :)
