Delta Children and K.I.D.S. Donate Cribs to Families in Need

Caring for others event in ATL sponsored by Delta Childrens products.Delta Children, a 45-year old family business, will donate new cribs, valued at $60,000, to Caring For Others, Inc. in Atlanta, where the cribs will be distributed to pre-registered families in need. On May 21, recipient families will arrive at Caring For Others to receive the cribs and learn about crib safety. The donation was made possible via the help of Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.), a non-profit organization that connects companies and children in need.

A Safe Sleep demonstration will be held at Caring For Others, Inc., where Joseph Shamie, Delta Children’s president and K.I.D.S. board member, will stress the importance of a safe crib and offer tips to the families.

Delta Children has made it its mission to help families nationwide provide safe sleep environments for their children. This is part of a larger donation made to K.I.D.S. by Delta, who promised to donate cribs, valued at $1 million, to the organization.

K.I.D.S. will implement the distribution of the cribs on behalf of Delta Children to the families in need.
