Disney Store at Target

This past weekend, Disney Store opened its much-anticipated shop-within-a-shop locations inside 25 select Target stores.

Announced in August, the Disney Store at Target features more than 450 curated items, including more than 100 that were previously available only at Disney Store locations. The first round of shops opened on Triple Force Friday, with a focus on new items from the Star Wars and Frozen franchises. As the releases of Frozen 2 (Nov. 22) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Dec. 20) near, Target expects to add more than 100 exclusive items inspired by the films.

“We’ve brought the magic of Disney to Target, bringing together great merchandise amidst an experience that’s truly immersive and unique,” says Mark Tritton, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Target. “Guests will be able to connect with the Disney characters and stories they love in a meaningful way, while accessing the latest and greatest Disney products, including items previously only available at Disney retail locations.”

By October of next year, 40 more Disney Store at Target locations will be open. Additionally, guests to the Walt Disney World Resort will be able to shop at Target beginning in 2021, with a new Target store set to open at Flamingo Crossings Town Center at the park’s western entrance.
