Ricky Zoom

The ink is barely dry on Hasbro’s acquisition of Entertainment One (eOne), and one of the most buzzed-about new properties is already speeding off in new directions.

Ricky Zoom, which recently launched on Nickelodeon in the U.S., picked up new partners for the global rollout of season one this fall. The series begins airing on Turkish network, Minika Cocuk beginning today, while free-to-air channels Karusel in Russia and Spacetoon Kids’ TV in the Middle East and North Africa will soon follow. There is no date yet for Spacetoon, but Karusel will debut Ricky Zoom on Oct. 19.

The series is revving up debuts on Super RTL (Germany), Clan TV (Spain), Gulli (France), RAI (Italy), Youku (China), and Discovery Kids (Latin America) with additional broadcast, VOD, and streaming deals expected to be announced ahead of MIPCOM.

On the consumer products front, Roseman will develop a publishing program for Ricky Zoom in Russia while Megalicense will develop the consumer products line for Russia and CIS. FILMA will represent eOne for products in Turkey.

eOne will present Ricky Zoom at Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) next month. TOMY is the current global master toy partner for the first wave of products expected to hit retail next year.
