Some of the most popular toys from the Disney Store are being reimagined as miniature collectibles with a massive, cross-audience appeal that kids, parents, and collectors of many fandoms and interests will be on the hunt for.

Following the success of 5 Surprise Mini Brands, Mini Toy Brands, and the recent Mini Fashions, ZURU and The Walt Disney Co. have joined forces for 5 Surprise Mini Brands: Disney Store Edition. The collaboration has resulted in the creation of more than 70 miniature replicas of toys from Disney franchises and brands, including Mickey and Friends, Pixar, Disney Princess, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.

While rumblings of the 5 Surprise Mini Brands: Disney Store Edition have been swirling via leaks in collector circles since the Mini Fashion assortment hit stores last month, the Toy Book can reveal that Target will be the exclusive, first-to-market destination for the capsule-based collectibles when they launch beginning in February.

“The appeal of Mini Brands is truly a global phenomenon, with more than three billion views of surprise videos to date,” says ZURU Global Brand Director Aneisha Vieira. “There is no doubt the addition of rare Disney Store exclusive toys from Disney’s treasured portfolio of brands will take our collectible frenzy to new heights and make 5 Surprise Mini Brands: Disney Store Edition the ultimate collector’s item.”

While most traditional Disney Store mall locations have closed over the past year (around 20 still exist), Disney Store at Target has been a successful and growing initiative that has brought many Disney Store products to more families across the U.S.

Some of those products, such as the Marvel and Star Wars Disney Toybox action figures and the Disney Animators’ Edition dolls make their way into the miniature scale for the very first time as 5 Surprise collectibles.

Additionally, kids and collectors can be on the lookout for some ultra-rare gold minis inspired by the Marvel Heroes Spider-Man and Iron Man action figures; Star Wars C-3P0 die-cast action figure and R2-D2 talking figure; and Pixar fan-favorites, including the Woody and Buzz Lightyear Toy Story talking action figures, and a Cars Lightning McQueen R/C car.

To cap it all off, Disney Store tote bags and store fixtures can be found in the 5 Surprise mix so that kids can build their own miniature Disney Store.

5 Surprise Mini Brands: Disney Store Edition capsules are designed for kids ages 4 and up and will be $7.99 each.
