Hasbro Launches Be Fearless Be Kind Initiative

Hasbro LogoHasbro launched Be Fearless Be Kind, the company’s newest philanthropic initiative designed to inspire and empower kids to have the compassion, empathy, and courage to stand up for others and be inclusive throughout their lives. This initiative builds upon the work that Hasbro and the Hasbro Children’s Fund collaboration with generationOn, the youth service division of Points of Light.

Be Fearless Be Kind features online resources, partnerships, and campaigns with the common goal of creating a new generation of kids that includes everyone and appreciate differences. Parents can access tools and resources through an online hub that features a toolkit, articles, and videos to teach children about kindness and empathy.

As part of the initiative, Hasbro and generationON will host their annual Joy Maker Challenge to encourage kids to spread joy and kindness to people in need during the holidays. For every child that participates in the challenge between Nov. 21 through Dec. 23, Hasbro will donate a toy to Toys for Tots.

Hasbro and generationON also launched the Rules of Kindness campaign, which invites kids and teens to create their own rules of kindness plan and put their plan into action to spread kindness to others.  The campaign, which ran Sept. 1 through Oct. 17, inspired more than 110,000 youth from eight countries to share their rules and action plans.

Be Fearless Be Kind has also paired up with No Bully campaign, and two global partnerships with Special Olympics and Creative Vision’s Rock Your World have been established to teach children about empathy and compassion in kids around the world.
