Innovative Stroller Zone and Electronic Pre-School Zone to Debut at Toy & Hobby China and Baby & Stroller China

MesseFrankfurtLogoTwo of the biggest toy and baby product fairs in southern China, Toy & Hobby China and Baby & Stroller China, will kick off on April 8, marking their first editions under Guangzhou Li Tong Messe Frankfurt, a new joint venture formed between Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Guangzhou Toy Association last November. Both three-day events, held in the Poly World Trade Expo Center in Guangzhou, will run through April 10. Featuring nearly 1,300 toy and baby product exhibitors, they are expected to draw over 40,000 trade visitors.

“The Chinese toy and baby product market is booming and we are pleased to be part of it and witness the growth,” says Wendy Wen, senior general manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.

The scale of the two fairs will jump more than 50 percent compared to last year, thanks to strong market conditions. In total, they will occupy an exhibition area of 75,000 square meters, 59 percent larger than the previous editions.

The two fairs will also see a boost in international trade as buyers from Australia, Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, the UK, and Turkey have confirmed their participation. Buyer delegations organized by toy associations from India, Spain, and Thailand will also be present.

Two new zones, the Innovative Stroller Zone and the Electronic Pre-School Zone, will give exhibitors additional exposure of their strollers and electronic products. The Innovative Stroller Zone, which is located in Hall 1, will showcase the latest stroller and ride-on collections from renowned Chinese suppliers.

To cater to the fast-growing pre-school education sector in China, this year’s fairs will feature an Electronic Pre-School Zone in Hall 2 to showcase a wide range of electronic products for children such as mini computers, electronic story books, and more. Furthermore, the Pre-School Amusement Play-set Zone located in Hall 2, the Animation and Character Licensing Zone in Hall 6, and the Hong Kong Pavilion in Hall 4 will return.

Speakers from industry giants, including Toys “R” Us and Horizon Group USA, will share their market insights with audiences in the concurrent Market Essentials Summit and Conference. Three seminar sessions will be held this year: China Toy Marketing Forum 2015, Overseas Toy and Stroller Buyers’ Sourcing Patterns and Behaviours, and Pre-School Amusement Toy and Play-Set Tool Trends 2015 for Kindergarten.
