Toy industry veteran Evelyn Mazzocco has been named General Manager – New Brands at Just Play.
In her new role, Mazzocco leads a Los Angeles-based team that is focusing on the company’s product development, branding, packaging, and engineering with an eye on developing original, owned intellectual property (IP).
With more than 20 years of experience, Mazzocco previously served as General Manager of Barbie at Mattel and as General Manager of Girls Products at Moose Toys. She has worked on a number of familiar, proprietary brands, including American Girl, KindiKids, Polly Pocket, and Monster High.
“I’ve always been impressed by Just Play’s commitment to developing high-quality and innovative product lines,” Mazzocco says. “I’m eager to work with the team to create a portfolio of new and exciting owned brands.”

Just Play is known for its extensive range of figures, playsets, dolls, and plush, particularly created for licensed properties, including Disney, Sesame Street, and more. Looking ahead, the company says that Mazzocco’s team will be tasked with supporting its long-term plan to create wholly owned IP.
