LeapFrog Unveils LeapFrog Imagicard, a Digital and Physical Learning Experience for Kids, and New LeapPad Platinum

LeapFrog Imagicard Product ImageLeapFrog Enterprises Inc. today unveiled the new LeapFrog Imagicard, a digital and physical learning experience for kids that brings characters to life with the snap of a picture from more than 30 included interactive collectible cards. With LeapFrog Imagicard, LeapFrog digital learning games are enhanced by physical interactive cards featuring licensed characters mixed with educational content, extending play beyond traditional tablet gaming.

The release of LeapFrog Imagicard is accompanied by LeapFrog’s new LeapPad Platinum, featuring a 7-inch high-resolution, multi-touch capacitive screen and fast processor. When combined with LeapFrog Imagicard games, children use the camera to capture the card on the screen, bringing favorite characters into the game and unlocking more ways to play.

LeapFrog Imagicard LogoLeapFrog Imagicard launches with three interactive games featuring properties such as LeapFrog’s Letter Factory, Paw Patrol, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Each game features LeapFrog’s Just For Me learning technology, which personalizes the experience for each child by adapting automatically during play, offering tutorials and more.

LeapFrog Imagicard is also backwards compatible with all LeapFrog LeapPad tablets, with the exception of LeapPad1. In addition to the multi-leveled, downloadable digital game and interactive cards, LeapFrog Imagicard comes with a character card tin for storage, as well as a play mat for card sorting and offline learning activities. All cards are also digitally included in the game, so children can still play the full games while on the move.

Initial launch titles for LeapFrog Imagicard include:

• LeapFrog Letter Factory (for ages 4 to 7 years)

• Paw Patrol (for ages 3 to 5)

• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (for ages 5 to 8)

Full descriptions of each game can be found at the official press release.

It boasts LeapSearch, a web browser that allows kids to browse content handpicked by LeapFrog’s team of learning experts, and now featuring expanded parental settings.
