LEGO introduced its Global CITY of Tomorrow campaign with the “Finding the local LEGO builders of tomorrow” competition that will run in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The campaign encourages kids to build their ideas for the City of Tomorrow using LEGO City Bricks.
The contest will begin at LEGOLAND Dubai from March 16 to 24, and will continue at the DFC Mall from March 26 until April 2, moving to Kuwait and other parts of the region throughout July.
There will be a central display area that will highlight the city of today, featuring buildings, transportation, and wildlife to encourage kids to add their ideas to the City of Tomorrow. The models created by participants will be placed in a display area leading them from now to the future. There will be four main inspirational building zones.
An area will be set up at each event location to give participants the chance to submit a photo or video of their creation with an explanation of how their idea will shape the City of Tomorrow. Submitted photos will go into the competition draw for the chance to win 2018 LEGO City products, become a LEGO Builder of tomorrow, and star in the next LEGO CITY of Tomorrow campaign video.
