The LEGO Group joined the How2Recycle initiative, promising that more than 60 percent of new LEGO boxes in the U.S. will feature the How2Recycle label by the end of the year, according to its website.

The How2Recycle label conveys to consumers how to recycle a package. Over 60 leading brands such as Campbells, Unilever, PepsiCo, and McDonalds have added this clear and transparent labeling to their packaging.

In addition to joining the How2Recycle initiative, presently 100 percent of paper and cardboard used in LEGO products and packaging is sustainably sourced and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
