A familiar figure in the licensing community is entering a new chapter in life.

Marty Brochstein, senior vice president, industry relations and information at Licensing International is retiring.

A former journalist with Television Digest and The Licensing Letter, Brochstein joined Licensing International more than 13 years ago when it was still known as LIMA.

In a statement issued on the Licensing International website, the organization said that “His work with Licensing International afforded him opportunities to meet so many fantastic professionals as well as travel across the globe, but what all who know him professionally will take away most is how Marty’s tenacity and wealth of knowledge have inspired so many of us. In his tenure, Marty’s been a champion for bringing people into the licensing industry and sharing his years of institutional knowledge, contributing to significant growth within our organization and the industry at large. And he’s done it all with humor and heart.”

Rumor has it that Brochstein is looking forward to spending more time hitting the links to work on his golf game in the months ahead.
