YuMe is expanding its leadership ranks with eyes on future growth.
The maker of toys and collectibles tapped Carson Murray to serve as its new North American Vice President. Murray joins the company from Funko, and previously held roles at Kroeger Inc., The Wilko Group, and Dynatech Action.
‘’Everybody knows the importance of the North American market to our industry, both in terms of strategic development and sales,” says YuMe Toys CEO Michael Kwan “Carson’s role is to help us develop the length and breadth of our business such that we are at the top table in the future of the toy industry. These are challenging times, but also exciting ones, and we are determined to be at the center of how the industry progresses.”
Mariano Hernandez has joined YuMe as Vice President for the Central and South American markets. He joins the company from Funko where he most recently served as Director of Sales in Latin America (LATAM). He previously held finance and sales roles at Nestle and Bimbo Bakeries.
“The LATAM region is strategic to our expansion plans as YuMe spreads its wings, armed with new and exciting properties and product lines, into new territories,” Kwan says. “I’m confident that Mariano’s wealth of experience will help turbo-charge our growth in the region.”
Finally, YuMe’s parent organization, Maxx Group and Maxx Marketing has appointed Keren Cheung as a Business Advisor covering Asia-Pacific countries. She previously served as Country Manager of Hasbro China and Disney as Executive Director, TV & Media for Marketing.
