McFarlane Toys and HBO Reach Agreement for Game of Thrones Construction Line

McFarlaneToys,GameofThronesMcFarlane Toys, in partnership with HBO Global Licensing, has signed a licensing agreement to bring the TV series Game of Thrones to the construction toy aisle this fall. Following in its tradition of highly detailed construction sets, McFarlane Toys will add an artistic layer to each Game of Thrones brick piece, resulting in construction sets that double as realistic models of notable locations seen on the show.

“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to create high-quality collectible construction sets based on this fan-favorite property,” says Todd McFarlane, CEO and founder of McFarlane Toys. “Both collectors and fans of this epic series can build their favorite scenes with this new product line.”

The initial wave of Game of Thrones construction line products will begin hitting stores shelves in November. They will include the following construction sets, expansion packs, and figure blind bags:

Iron Throne Room, Mother of Dragons, and Attack on the Wall construction sets, each featuring iconic environments, realistic sculpted pieces, and figures of fan-favorite characters.

Construction figure starter packs will feature Houses Stark and Lannister, complete with house banner and sigil.

Twelve buildable, blind bag construction set figures. Each 2-inch scale figure will include an environmental base, with articulated body parts for the human character-based figures. The first series will feature Tyrion Lannister; Jon Snow; Daenerys Targaryen; Grey Worm; Ghost; Rhaegal; Unsullied; Crow; Kingsguard; Wildling, with axe; Wildling, with spear; and Wight.

McFarlane Toys will be unveiling the first look at this new product line, including the Iron Throne Room and Mother of Dragons construction sets, at Comic-Con International: San Diego from July 8 to 12.
