Stranger Things Mongoose Max Bike

The kids from Hawkins, Indiana will have some new rides when season three of the Netflix Original Series Stranger Things debuts on July 4.

Mongoose, a brand of Dorel Industries Inc., collaborated with Netflix to create period-accurate bicycles for the series, including a character-specific model for Maxine ‘Max’ Mayfield (portrayed by actress Sadie Sink). Aside from appearing on screen, a replica of the bike will be available to purchase exclusively at Target beginning June 30.

To create the bikes for the series, the Mongoose team in Madison, Wisconsin sourced period-specific bike parts from local thrift stores and garage sales to assemble the bikes used for filming the latest season. Following the bikes’ shipment to the production team, Mongoose switched gears and began working on the consumer replica of Max’s bike.

Mongoose Max Stranger Things bike features include:

  • Replica 1980s-style frame and fork
  • Classic Mongoose pad set
  • Series-inspired rear axle pegs (where Eleven rides along)
  • Headlamp for exploring the Upside Down
  • Standard single-speed drivetrain
  • Front and rear caliper brakes

The Mongoose Max bike will retail for $219.99, exclusively at Target stores and Target.com.
