Fire up the Creature Report and sound the Octo-Alert because the Octonauts are back for a new generation.

Moose Toys inked a deal with Silvergate Media to create a new line of Octonauts toys, including figures, vehicles, playsets, plush, games, and more. The new range will debut later this year to support the new preschool series, Octonauts: Above & Beyond.

“We’re incredibly honored to partner with Silvergate to bring the next chapter of Octonauts to fans across the world,” says Joe Smith, senior director of global marketing, licensed brands, Moose Toys. “The rich storyline and characters make for an incredible sandbox to develop fun, original toys. Octonauts is widely regarded as one of the top preschool properties, and this partnership further solidifies Moose’s strength and expertise in the preschool aisle.”

Based on a 2006 series of books, Octonauts first hit screens in 2010 and quickly gained a following around the world. The first generation series spawned a toy line from Fisher-Price and gained steam with live events, including a U.S. mall tour to support airings on Disney Junior.

Octonauts: Above & Beyond is said to “take the much-loved crew of intrepid explorers beyond the sea and onto land with an exciting array of new locations, vehicles, and storylines to enjoy.” The series will teach real-world facts about weather, water, extreme environments, and creatures.

Moose Toys’ recent licensing hits include Bluey and Collins Key. Meanwhile, the company has experienced success in the preschool aisle with its own Kindi Kids brand.
