National Toy Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

NationalToyHallofFameThe swing, Dungeons & Dragons, and Fisher-Price Little People today became the latest inductees to The Strong’s National Toy Hall of Fame. The honorees were slected from a field of 12 finalists that also included bubble wrap, Care Bears, Clue, coloring books, Nerf, pinball, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, Transformers, and Uno.

The final 2016 toy inductees were chosen on the advice of a national selection advisory committee, and a celebration will commence at The Strong museum this weekend.

The Strong’s National Toy Hall of Fame recognizes toys that have engaged and delighted multiple generations. Criteria for induction include icon status, longetivy, discovery, and innovation. Including today’s inductees, the National Toy Hall of Fame now include 62 items, including Barbie, Candy Land, little green army men, rocking horses, teddy bears, and more.
