The president of Nintendo Co. Ltd., Satoru Iwata, passed away on July 11 due to a bile duct growth, as reported by Nintendo.
The 55-year-old Iwata had served as CEO of Nintendo of America since being appointed to the position in June of 2013. He also served as the video game giant’s director, president, and representative director.
