Paramount Drops The Little Prince a Week Before U.S. Release

Screen Shot 2016-03-14 at 5.35.37 PMParamount Pictures will no longer be the U.S. distributor for the animated film The Little Prince, which was set to open in theaters this Friday, March 18, according to IGN

The film’s director, Mark Osborne, turned to Twitter to share the news last week. He said, “Many thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love and support in these strange times. As it turns out, the much anticipated U.S. release of this special and unique film will have to be anticipated just a little bit more.”

Osborne also confirmed that the movie “will in fact be released by another distributor later this year.”
