People of Play (POP) — the rebranded Chicago Toy & Game Group — has revealed plans for its second Virtual POP Week.
The event takes place on what was formerly Chicago Toy & Game Week leading into the Chicago Toy & Game Fair (CHITAG) that has been sidelined in person for a second year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Virtual POP Week takes place Nov. 15-20, 2021 and includes The Toy & Game International Innovation Summit; the POP Duo Keynotes Legends & Leaders program; virtual networking in the POP Pub Rooms; live entertainment on the Fair Stages; the annual TAGIE Awards; and the Young Inventors Challenge.
“Our 2021 program is turning out to be one of the most innovative we’ve ever had,” says POP Founder and CEO Mary Couzin. “We’re bringing our industry and other entertainment industries together in new and exciting ways to share ideas and cross-pollinate. We’re creating network opportunities, bringing in the highest caliber of diverse speakers we’ve ever had, and awarding deserving companies and kids with both the TAGIE awards and Young Inventor’s Challenge as well as stages of entertainment at the Fair. There’s something for everyone.”
This year’s event features keynote speakers, including Mattel’s Richard Dickson and Robbie Brenner, Mego’s Marty Abrams, The Nacelle Co.’s Brian Volk-Weiss, Michele Litzky of Litzky PR, and more. For a full schedule of speakers and events, click here.
