Hasbro‘s Entertainment One (eOne) division is betting big on its new preschool property, Kiya.

The entertainment studio behind PJ Masks and Peppa Pig hired Ruedilyn Cox to serve as vice president global franchise strategy and management for Kiya. Cox reports to Esra Cafer, senior vice president, global brand management, family brands at eOne.

In her new role, Cox will be responsible for driving long-term franchise and content strategy and a vision for the growth of Kiya, a series about a young superhero and her two best friends. This includes working with teams across Hasbro’s business, including toys and games, digital gaming, consumer products, licensing, entertainment, and more.

“Ruedilyn brings a wealth of experience working with iconic, award-winning global franchises like Harry Potter and Bing to her new role with eOne,” Cafer says. “We are confident that Kiya will be successfully positioned as the next great preschool franchise under her strong leadership.”

Cox joins Hasbro from Acamar Films where she served as head of marketing. She previously served as senior brand and marketing manager for Harry Potter global franchise development at Warner Bros., where she managed the company’s relationship with J.K. Rowling.
