This year, Spielwarenmesse will kick off in Nuremberg with 2,857 exhibitors. The number represents 67 countries and the widest offering ever seen at the event, scheduled to take place from January 28 to February 2. Spielwarenmesse eG is expecting an estimated 75,000 trade visitors from more than 100 countries.
The TrendGallery in Hall 3A will showcase international successes and ToyAward nominees and winners, as well as major international trends in the toy industry. These include toys that introduce children to STEM subjects, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; handicrafts that let small and older children make objects themselves or enhance accessories and everyday items; and a category called Beyond Reality, which includes toys that can be controlled by body movement or voice recognition, accessories or clothes equipped with advanced technology, or toys made with a 3-D printer at home.
