Spin Master, the kids’ entertainment company known for brands like PAW Patrol and Hatchimals, appoints Marc De Vellis as senior vice president of digital operations and strategy in the Digital Games creative center. The newly created role will work to expand Spin Master’s Digital Games ecosystem. Anchored by Toca Boca and Sago Mini Brands, Spin Master Digital Games develops and distributes digitally based creative and educational play.

“We are continuously investing in our people to grow our capabilities to make great games that engage audiences from all around the world with playful, inclusive content,” says Fredrik Loving, Spin Master’s president, Digital Games creative center. “Marc’s deep experience in digital game product development and expanding player ecosystems will help accelerate growth goals globally.”

De Vellis spent 20 years at Electronic Arts (EA) where he began as a producer and progressed to executive producer, head of product for desktop, console, web, and mobile. His most recent position was as head of operations where he was responsible for the Player Network vision across EA. In his new role as senior vice president at Spin Master’s Digital Games creative center, De Vellis will serve to drive strategic group capabilities and deliver operational success across all digital studios.

Spin Master’s newly developed Digital Games creative center has recently experienced growing momentum with the popularity of its mobile game, Toca Life World. The game boasts more than 60 million active users and is internationally known as one of the leading games for kids. The mobile game was also named Best iPhone App of the Year in Dec 2021 by Apple.
