In celebration of National Education Association’s Read Across America and to help cultivate and encourage a love of reading in the new academic year, Sylvan Learning’s Book Adventure is teaming up with LeapFrog to launch a new reading contest with prizes for both individual students and classrooms.
Sylvan Learning will run this contest exclusively on Book Adventure from March 1 through April 1. Children ages 4 to 8 can join the contest for a chance to win prizes. Teachers and their classes can participate by joining the Classroom Contest. The prize packages include LeapFrog’s Tag Reading System and interactive books. With Tag, stories spring to life with character voices, sound effects, and activities to make reading a rich, fulfilling experience.
Three winning classrooms will receive a LeapFrog prize pack, and 10 individual students will receive a LeapFrog prize pack.
To participate in the contest, visit http://www.bookadventure.com. Book Adventure is a free reading motivation program for children in grades K through 8. Participating students and schools use Book Adventure to create personalized book lists and take quizzes on the books they read off-line. Students create their own book lists from more than 8,000 recommended titles. Book Adventure is created and maintained by Sylvan Learning.
