Almost Naked Animals Renewed For Third Season

9 Story Entertainment has announced CiTV UK has renewed the hit animated children’s comedy series Almost Naked Animals (52 x 22’) for a third season. The series, produced and distributed by 9 Story, was recently nominated for a BAFTA Kids’ Vote Award.

The series is seen in the U.S. on Cartoon Network and in Canada on YTV and VRAK, in addition to airing on leading international channels including ABC Australia, Disney Channel Italy, Disney Channel India, Disney Channel Latin America, Disney Channel Spain and Portugal, NPO’s children’s channel Z@pp/Zeppelin in the Netherlands, Super RTL Germany, Canal+ Family, Noga Isreal, RTE Ireland DR Denmark and TéléTOON+.  Almost Naked Animals’ licensing program includes home entertainment, toys and apparel, an online super game, an e-commerce store, and social networking partnerships.

9 Story Entertainment is releasing the Almost Naked Animals: It’s My Party DVD, in conjunction with a multi-platform online effort that includes a new Almost Naked Animals website, online super game Cabana Craze, an e-commerce store partnering with Café Press, and a partnership with Jabbersmack, a leading social networking site for kids.

Wild Kratts, a co-production between the Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Entertainment, is currently being sold internationally. Wild Kratts is a 30 min. comedy television show in which the Kratt brothers tour the world to meet new animals and rescue them by activating their Creature Power Suits. 9 Story announced multiple sales for this series in Eastern Europe, Singapore, Spain, Israel, and Columbia.

Wibbly Pig Comes to the U.S.

9 Story Entertainment has partnered with NCircle Entertainment for home entertainment sales of its animated preschool comedy series Wibbly Pig in the U.S.

Wibbly Pig takes the daily routine of a young child and finds humor and fun in every part of it. 9 Story co-produced the series with Wish Films (UK), which was originally commissioned by the BBC’s Cbeebies, TVO, and Knowledge Network. The series is based on the Wibbly Pig books by Mick Inkpen. The series is currently seen in more than 100 countries and premieres on Sprout (U.S) during The Good Night Show on August 27.

Wibbly does what children do, from day-to-day activities like getting into bed, wrapping a present or climbing a tree, to fantasy play like meeting a giant or going to the moon. He moves seamlessly in and out of fantasy play, echoing the way children interact and play. The simplest tasks are turned into a comedy routine, which Wibbly shares with the viewer.

“Mr. Rogers Neighborhood” Inspires Spin-Off

The launch of the first spin-off of the beloved Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, is just one month away. An original animated series from The Fred Rogers Company, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood premieres Monday, Sept. 3 on PBS Kids. The show stars 4-year-old Daniel Tiger, son of the original program’s Daniel Striped Tiger. Daniel Tiger talks directly to viewers, warmly drawing them in and making them feel like one of his neighbors.

Recent research proves what Fred Rogers knew all along: social and emotional competencies are the building blocks of doing well in school and in life. Each episode of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood consists of two engaging stories that center on a common early learning theme, such as dealing with disappointment. Every story includes an “imagination moment” in which Daniel plays out a preschool fantasy set to music.  Then, the day’s strategy is reprised in a full song at the end.

Angela C. Santomero, leading production partner for Out of the Blue Enterprises and the imaginative force behind Super WHY and Blue’s Clues, provides the creative vision for the new series.  Santomero and Kevin Morrison of The Fred Rogers Company are executive producers of the show, which is animated by  9 Story Entertainment.

Child’s Play Creates U.S. Outreach Campaign for Almost Naked Animals

Child’s Play Communications will create a social media outreach campaign to build brand awareness for 9 Story Entertainment’s animated TV comedy series, Almost Naked Animals, and its new lines of licensed products. Child’s Play will also be working with selected parenting publications in the U.S.

Almost Naked Animals features an assortment of free-spirited animals in their underwear, who run a beachfront hotel doing their best to make each day more fun than the last. Lead dog and hotel manager Howie heads the ensemble cast. Now in its third season, Almost Naked Animals is both produced and distributed by 9 Story. The series airs on Cartoon Network in the U.S., as well as many other channels worldwide.
