Adora Launches Fourth Designed by Kids for Kids Program

ByKidForKids-EmailAdora is on the search for its 2017 Young Designer to help design an outfit for an 18-inch Friends Doll to be available in next year’s Friends line. The Designed for Kids by Kids Program is in its fourth year, and was created to empower young girls to get creative and design something they’re proud of and give back to the community.

This year’s theme is Slumber Party, where kids are asked to design a slumber party themed outfit on the paper doll provided on the entry form. Adora Introduces Clara H., Its 2016 Young Designer

Adora by the Shore entry formThis year’s Adora’s Designed by Kids for Kids program winner is Clara H, whose submission made it all the way from Hendersonville, N.C. This year’s contest was for a beach-themed outfit, for which Clara drew inspiration from a piece of blue and white striped fabric.

Adora’s Designed by Kids for Kids Program Brings Ideas to Life

adoradollsisabellacato Pretty Little Cowgirl OutfitAdora Dolls has announced the latest winner of its Designed by Kids for Kids program. Isabella C., an 8-year-old from Florida, designed the ”Pretty Little Cowgirl” outfit that will be added to production next year.

The program, which is in its second year, encourages young designers to submit drawings in hopes of seeing their ideas come to life. The winner also gets to select their favorite charity to receive a donation from Adora Dolls.




Adora’s Designed by Kids for Kids Contest Has Its Winner

Adora.ByKidsforKidsLast year, Adora launched its Designed by Kids for Kids program, which gave kids a chance to work with the company’s California design team to create an outfit for one of the company’s 18-inch Friends dolls. The contest closed on March 31, and Adora recently announced its Young Designer for 2015: Isabella C., of Orlando.

Eight-year-old Isabella designed a Cowgirl outfit, and will start collaborating with Adora’s design team to bring it to life for next year. She also gets to choose a favorite charity for donation.

Adora Celebrates The 75th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz

Dorothy 75thIn celebration of The Wizard of Oz‘s 75th anniversary this September, Adora Dolls will introduce 75th Anniversary Special Edition Wizard of Oz Toddlers.

Each toddler doll wears the iconic costumes of each character, including the Wicked Witch, Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion, the Wizard, Tinman, Scarecrow, and Glinda the Good Witch. They come with their own silver commemorative medallion with the “75th Anniversary Wizard of Oz” logo inscribed on it.
