VTech Electronics North America LLC will launch an online program that combines gaming technology with VTech’s learning products for children ages 3 to 9 years. VTech University is a curriculum that will help children with their reading, math, and science skills. Upon completion of the curriculum, children can be entered for a chance to win a $25,000 college bond by May 31. In order to register for the curriculum, a child must have one of VTech’s learning products, such as Inno Tab, Inno Tab 2, MobiGo2, or the Inno Tab 2S. The Tab can be purchased at Amazon, Target, Toys “R” Us, Walmart, and VTech Kids. Enrollment in the program will allow for a free download of the curriculum. Exclusive to the version of Skylanders Cloud Patrol on Kindle Fire, players will be able to purchase toys within the Skylanders Cloud Patrol game app itself with the push of a button. Leveraging the “always logged in” feature of the Kindle Fire, buying the physical toy in-app will unlock the digital character immediately via Amazon’s 1-Click Purchasing, while the physical toy is shipped to the user.
Skylanders Cloud Patrol is a recently released mobile gaming experience set in a new region of Skylands that has been overrun by the evil minions of Portal Master, Kaos. With all 30-plus Skylanders available to unlock, the game lets players take command of a sky-ship and use their favorite Skylander to dispatch the baddies using touch gestures to tap-and-shoot or swipe the screen to create combos.

Amazon.com is launching a new online purchasing service, PayPhrase, which will allow customers a shortcut for making purchases on the web. Customers use PayPhrase by setting up a unique phrase and PIN that links to their Amazon.com account. When shoppers make a purchase on Amazon.com or participating websites, the can enter their phrase and PIN to check out, without the need to sign in or enter credit card information.
PayPhrase participating websites include DKNY.com, Jockey.com, Buy.com, and other websites that accept Amazon’s 1-Click checkout.
