The Care Bears Pair with Rody for Co-branding Campaign in Taiwan

Rody x Care Bears Promotion_ TAIWAN Feb 2013The Care Bears are spreading the love in Taiwan as American Greetings Properties (AGP) and licensing agent Medialink partner with Entertainment Machine Operator for a limited edition crossover collection with Rody. Rody is the brand behind the inflatable rocking horses. This one-year promotion includes a full range of products such as tote bags, cosmetic bags, desktop holders, and stationery folders.

The co-branded products, available exclusively at Rody stores, will be hitting other department and specialty stores through the end of this year. Taiwan has been a breakout market for Care Bears within the past several months, with 10 licensees on board covering apparel, stationery, footwear, accessories, and bags.

Bo, the Take Care Bear, will leave Care-a-lot, the Care Bears’ magical world in the clouds, to be the Bear-in-Residence at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. He starts his job as newest member of the UH Rainbow Care Team on Wednesday, January 23. American Greetings, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Launch National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month With Strawberry Shortcake

American Greetings Properties, the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation, and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for kids with cancer, are once again teaming up for a berry special campaign this September in support of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Pop culture icon Strawberry Shortcake is enlisting families across the country to host Strawberry Shortcake Alex’s Lemonade Stands to raise funds and awareness for the cause. The campaign, now in its third year, has raised more than $150,000 in support of research projects dedicated to finding a cure for all kids with cancer.

Families can sign up to host Strawberry Shortcake Alex’s Lemonade Stands during the month of September at http://www.alexslemonade.org/campaign/strawberry-shortcake. Volunteers will be provided with Strawberry Shortcake kits that include vouchers for strawberry lemonade and branded materials to make their lemonade stand “stand” apart. In addition to the funds raised, American Greetings Properties will donate $50 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for the first 300 stands registered in September, which will go toward research.

Care Bears Celebrate 30th Anniversary with New Show

The Care Bears return to television this summer in an all-new CG animated series Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot. The series, which will appear on The Hub, brings back old characters while introducing new ones. The Hub’s marketing team will support Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot through traditional and non-traditional off-channel media designed to drive sampling of the new iteration of the iconic original series.

The half hour show, produced by American Greetings Properties, premieres on June 2 at 8 a.m.

American Greetings Properties Announces New CGI-Animated Care Bears Series

American Greetings Properties has announced an all-new, CGI-animated television series starring the Care Bears of Care-a-Lot. This new series will debut next year, which also marks the property’s 30th anniversary. Additionally, Hasbro is planning to premiere a new Care Bears toy line in 2013.

Care Bears debuted in 1982. The property has generated more than $2.6 billion in global sales since 2002.

Care Bears Partners with Malaysia Airlines

American Greetings Properties is teaming up with Malaysia Airlines for a one-year Care Bears promotion. On every international flight, each child ages 2-3 years old will receive a Care Bears hard cover book, provided by Paragon Premiums in Malaysia.

Care Bears re-launched in 2002 and has generated more than $2.6 billion in global sales.

American Greetings and CPLG Launch New Strawberry Shortcake Websites

American Greetings Properties, the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation, and CPLG, Cookie Jar Entertainment’s licensing division and licensing agent, is launching 14 new Strawberry Shortcake websites worldwide. The new websites will connect fans around the globe to Strawberry’s own home, Berry Bitty city, that mirrors the official U.S. website, www.strawberryshortcake.com. The websites will offer fans a variety of games, activities, downloads, health-conscious recipes, videos, and more.
