ASTRA Offers Free Webinar

The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) is awarding retailers who register for the 2010 ASTRA Marketplace & Academy by February 28, a free webinar (valued at $49) on optimizing your retail store advertising on a shoe-string budget. Rick Segel will host the webinar on April 28 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. CST.
ASTRA’s Marketplace & Academy will be held in Providence, R.I. from June 13 to 16. Early bird registration prices for the event will also be available until February 28. For more information, or to register, visit www.astratoy.org or call ASTRA at 1-800-591-0490.

ASTRA Reveals 2010 Marketplace & Academy Speakers

The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) has announced that specialty retail consultants Rick Segel and Doug Fleener will headline ASTRA’s 2010 Marketplace & Academy. Fleener will open the event with a keynote address titled “Raise the Bar! How to Create and Profit with a High Performance Retail Team.” Segel will close ASTRA’s 2010 event with a presentation entitled “Marketing Optimization: The Secrets of Getting Better Results on a Shoestring Budget.”

Hidden City Games Joins ASTRA

Hidden City Games, Inc., publisher and worldwide licensor of Bella Sara, has joined the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA). Bella Sara products are available at several independent retailers, equestrian stores, at Shop.BellaSara.com, and at other retailers such as Target, Wal-Mart, and Toys “R” Us.

ASTRA Reveals 2010 Marketplace Theme

The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) has announced that the theme for the 2010 Marketplace & Academy in Providence, R.I. will be “Full Speed Ahead. Start Here.” The event recently changed its dates to June 13-16, 2010.
