Hasbro and PEZ International Strike Sweet Deal for My Little Pony Branded PEZ Dispensers and Candy

MyLittlePony.PEZHasbro Inc. has signed a global licensing agreement with PEZ International to develop a My Little Pony-branded line of PEZ dispensers, PEZ dextrose fizzy candy, and fizzy rolls. The new dispensers and candy are on display at Hasbro’s booth at Brand Licensing Europe in London, and will be available beginning in early 2015 in Germany, France, and Austria, followed by additional markets worldwide.

The My Little Pony line of PEZ dispensers will be based on Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, and Rainbow Dash, and the assorted fruit candy range will include lemon, strawberry, orange, and cherry flavors.

Chorion Announces New Little Miss Character

At Brand Licensing Europe, Chorion introduced the newest addition to the Little Miss family, Little Miss Princess. Adorned with a crown and pink all over, Little Miss Princess is fashion-ready and sweet as sunshine. The company is showcasing Little Miss Princess-inspired fashions, accessories, and homewares designed for girls and young adults at BLE. The Little Miss Princess book title, published by Egmont in the UK and others around the world, will be available next spring along with a range of accessories and apparel.

Additionally, Chorion has secured a number of new licensing deals for the Mr. Men and Little Miss brand. Digital Goldfish will launch new Mr. Men and Little Miss apps globally at the end of October, debuting first in the UK and U.S. In France, Cesar will launch new plush, Pixi is producing a range of new plastic toys and figurines, and Jouceo will launch a range of toy products for sale through kiosks and toy stores.

Saban Acquires Paul Frank Industries

Saban Capital Group, Inc. has acquired Paul Frank Industries (PFI) including all company assets, intellectual property, and its portfolio of more than 150 characters. The acquisition marks the second for Saban Capital Group; the company acquired the Power Rangers franchise in May.

Saban Brands, an affiliate of Saban Capital Group, Inc., will manage PFI’s business strategy, while creative operations will remain based in PFI’s current headquarters in Costa Mesa, Calif. Saban Brands plans to support the Paul Frank brand with new content and media strategies. The property will be showcased at Brand Licensing Europe, to be held September 28-30 in London.
