With the arrival of the new royal baby, Delta Children has new princess-themed additions including a crib and a toddler-to-twin bed:
Delta Children’s new Character Club Chairs are launching this summer in different characters, including Cars, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse. Recommended for children ages 3 to 9, each chair can hold up to 100 pounds and provides a soft space for kids to sit and read, draw, or watch a movie. The chair deflates for easy storage and its velour cover is machine washable.
On May 8, Delta Children teamed up with Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams to give away 400 cribs and playards to families in need. A press conference was held at Brooklyn Borough Hall where Delta Children’s Products President Joseph Shamie, Borough President Adams, and pediatrician Dr. Aletha Maybank spoke about crib safety. Cribs will be distributed through community board members, churches, and non-profits such as Help USA.
Delta also has a new video on safe sleeping tips, courtesy of Delta Children’s Safe Sleep Campaign and Borough President Adams.
Delta Children has added to its collection of baby walkers, which help stimulate a baby’s early development and boost walking confidence, and are outfitted with toy trays.
The Lil’ Drive Walker features realistic car details, removable toy tray topped with a shifter and movable steering wheel, lights, and sounds. It is available at Walmart.com. Another product, the Lil’ Fun Time Walker, lets parents transform playtime into snack time in seconds with the quick release tray topped with a steering wheel, lights, and sound. It is available at BabiesRUs.com. Finally, the Lil’ Frog 2-in-1 Walker includes engaging sounds, lights, and toys to stimulate early mental development and balancing skills. Available soon, it also converts from a walker into a stationary activity center.
The Shamie family founded Delta Children more than 40 years ago on the premise that every family should be able to afford a safe crib. Since then, the company has had a community-centered vision, and at the First Candle Gala held in New York City last week, Joseph Shamie stated as much.
“The more Sam [Shamie] and I give, the more we realize continued effort is needed,” he said. “The more we see struggling families, the more we want to help. The more hardship we witness, the more we realize how truly fortunate we are.”
As part of the Delta Children Safe Sleep Campaign, the brand has been traveling the country on a mission to donate $1,000,000 worth of cribs to families in need, and to provide Safe Sleep tips to parents of newborns.
Kelly Mariotti, the CEO of First Candle, praised Joseph and Sam’s efforts, noting, “It is inspiring to see industry leaders who get down in the trenches to stand up for what they believe in and make a very tangible impact. They have done so much to advance the cause of helping babies survive and thrive.”
In the spirit of Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving, Delta Children gave thanks to those who sacrifice so much for the safety of our country by orchestrating a crib donation to the families of soldiers at Fort Drum. By teaming up with Golfers in Support of Our Troops, the two organizations will distribute cribs to the 2nd Battalion 87th Infantry Regiment to help ease the stress and holiday budgets for these families.
Delta Children recognizes the difficulty military families often face in preparing for a newborn while anticipating deployment, so as part of their Safe Sleep $1,000,000 crib giveaway campaign, Delta Children has not only committed to providing the highest product safety standards, but also to providing a safe-sleep environment for children.
Delta Children has released its convertible Lightning McQueen bed from Disney’s Cars, which isn’t only just for bedtime. Under the hood there’s built-in storage space that converts to an oversized toy box once the twin bed is in place, and there are even working headlights and a steering wheel for added play and fun.
The best part is, not having to worry about your toddler outgrowing the bed. The crib mattress can easily be switched out for a twin mattress while still preserving the same cool, sleek look.
Delta Children, a 45-year old family business, will donate $1 million worth new cribs and highchairs to Help USA’s nine locations nationwide. Today, recipient families will arrive at Help USA’s Crotona location in the Bronx to receive the cribs and learn about crib safety.
A Safe Sleep demonstration will be held, where Delta Children’s President Joseph Shamie and Help USA’s Chairman Maria Cuomo Cole will stress the importance of a safe crib and offer tips to the families. Help USA will implement the distribution of the cribs on behalf of Delta Children to the families in need.
The event will take place today from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Delta Children‘s new collections allow kids to fill their bedrooms and playrooms with their favorite characters, including Sofia the First. The new Sofia the First collection features two toddler bed options, a desk chair, and six-bin and nine-bin toy organizers. The collection also features an unholstered chair featuring the princess for reading or relaxing.
Disney’s Planes opened in theaters August 9, and takes off with Dusty (voiced by Dane Cook), a small town dreamer who longs to enter the most epic around-the-world air race despite his fear of heights. Just in time for the movie release, Delta Children has a Planes upholstered chair available at Toys “R” Us.
