Disguise Inc., the Halloween costume division of Jakks Pacific Inc., has secured a licensing agreement with Moose Toys to create costumes and dress-up based on its collectible franchise, Shopkins. The news follows yesterday’s announcement that Disguise had secured a similar agreement with the LEGO Group.

The multi-year, multi-category agreement grants Disguise rights to distribute its LEGO licensed products across North America, Europe, Korea, and China.
Disguise Inc., the Halloween costume division of Jakks Pacific Inc., received the 2014 Vendor of the Year Award for Seasonal from Target. The Target Vendor of the Year Awards distinguish a select group of vendor partners each year based on certain performance and relationship criteria.
Disguise Inc.’s Halloween costume line-up for this year includes popular characters for the entire family based on theatrical blockbusters, popular television shows, pop culture, and more.
This year’s line-up includes toddler and children’s costumes for Elsa, Anna, and Olaf from Disney’s Frozen, as well as an adult Elsa costume. From Disney’s Maleficent, Maleficent and Aurora costumes are available in sizes for children and adults. Disney Junior properties such as Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins have costumes in baby, toddler, and child sizes.
The classic Minnie Mouse costume is available in sizes ranging from baby to adult. Super Mario Bros fans can dress up as their favorite characters including Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. Costumes for Bumblebee and Optimus Prime from Hasbro’s Transformers are available in baby to adult sizes.
Children and adult fans of Hasbro’s My Little Pony can dress up as their favorite characters, including Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Accessories and costumes for Saban’s Power Rangers span from baby, to child, to adult.
The partnership includes the rights to create kids and adult costumes based on DreamWorks heritage properties such as Shrek and VeggieTales, as well as upcoming movie releases Penguins of Madagascar, Home, and How to Train Your Dragon 3.
Jakks Pacific Inc. announced that its Halloween costume division, Disguise, has renewed and expanded agreements for multiple top entertainment properties to produce Halloween costumes and accessories launching at retailers nationwide this Halloween season.
Disguise has renewed its licensing contract with American Greetings Properties to create costumes and accessories for the Care Bears property and has expanded their agreement to now include Strawberry Shortcake.
Disguise has also renewed its agreements with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Warner Bros. Consumer Products to produce costumes and accessories for The Simpsons, Family Guy, and the Austin Powers franchise, which will be available at retailers nationwide for the 2014 Halloween season.
Marvel Entertainment, in conjunction with Disney Consumer Products, has unveiled a product collection to celebrate the new film, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Licensees for the products include Hasbro, Lego, Disguise, Hot Wheels, Her Universe, Café Press, Mad Engine, Just Play, KidDesigns, Rubie’s, C-Life, Jay Franco, and the Disney Store. Products in the line include action figures, plush, play sets, role play, costumes, and ’80s nostalgia-inspired lifestyle products.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy products are available now at national retailers, specialty stores, Marvel.com, Disney store locations nationwide, and DisneyStore.com. The movie opens in theaters on August 1.

To date, Guardians of the Galaxy has received major mass retailer commitment, including a cross-category pallet program at Wal-Mart, top placement for Hasbro and Lego’s toy lines in all key accounts, and a heavily promoted party goods program with Party City. The Guardians of the Galaxy merchandising program will benefit from Marvel Studios‘ major marketing push for the film that will hit full force beginning later this month.
