NCircle Entertainment Acquires DVD Distribution Rights for The Gruffalo’s Child

NCircle Entertainment has acquired distribution rights for The Gruffalo’s Child, the highly anticipated follow-up to the Academy Award-nominated animated short, The Gruffalo, produced by Magic Light Pictures. The Gruffalo’s Child is based on the companion book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

“We are extremely pleased to bring the amazing animated versions of Julia Donaldson’s beloved children’s stories to families in the comfort of their own homes,” said Debbie Ries, senior vice president and general manager of NCircle Entertainment. “The Gruffalo DVD won the hearts of viewers of all ages when it was released last year, and The Gruffalo’s Child extends the magic of the original with a new story that promises to delight audiences once again.”

NCircle Entertainment will release The Gruffalo’s Child on DVD on August 14, 2012. NCircle will promote The Gruffalo’s Child through national advertising, including TV and radio, as well as a broad social media campaign.

NCircle Entertainment Releases New DVDs

NCircle Entertainment, a distributor of independent non-theatrical children’s entertainment, is releasing four new DVD titles for children ages 6 and under.

The titles are Animal ABCs, Animal 123s, Goodnight Pajanimals, and Dance, Pocoyo, Dance!.

Animal ABCs and Animals 123s, based on the award-winning Animal Atlas series, encourages preschoolers to sing, count, and learn about all sorts of animals. The DVD also teaches children lessons on nature conservation.

Goodnight, Pajanimals, based on The Jim Henson Company’s bedtime series, runs 90 minutes long. The story follows four animals as they go about their bedtime routine, and includes songs to comfort preschoolers as they ease into their own night time rituals.

Dance, Pocoyo, Dance! is based on the Nick Jr. series Pocoyo .This 90-minute DVD includes 12 songs that aim to get preschoolers  moving.
