NBC Revs Up Global Merchandize Program for Fast & Furious

NBCUniversal Brand Development and NBCUniversal Consumer Products will debut a new vehicle toy line with Mattel, as well as an extensive cross-category merchandising program for the Fast & Furious franchise next year. The toy line will feature the characters, vehicles, and original environments from all the films. Additionally, Jada Toys will continue to create die-cast Fast & Furious vehicles for collectors.

Other partners, categories, and updates for the franchise will be announced throughout the year. The eighth Fast & Furious film will release in theaters on April 14, 2017.

Jada Toys Partners with Universal and Dodge to Bring Fast & Furious to SEMA

jada_featureimageJada Toys will be exhibiting their current and upcoming Fast & Furious products at SEMA 2015. The company will also partner with Universal and Dodge to display the off-road Dodge Challenger as seen in Furious 7 driven by Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez).

For SEMA attendees, Jada will be hosting a live photo contest throughout the whole show. There will be three giveaways per day, and the prize pack includes a Blu-ray DVD copy of Furious 7 and a 1:32 scale off-road Dodge Challenger die-cast. To enter, participants must follow Jada Toys on Instagram and tag the company on their SEMA picture posts. Toy State Acquires Nikko and Nikko Entertainment

ToyState.logoToy State has secured the worldwide rights to Nikko by acquiring the consolidated operations of its Japan and Hong Kong offices. Toy State has also acquired Nikko Entertainment BV, the European arm of the company’s R/C toy category.

Nikko manufactures R/C toys, from custom vehicles, boats, and flying items to an array of preschool R/C toys. These toys are marketed through licensing partnerships with global automakers, as well as brands such as Transformers, Hello Kitty, Fast & Furious, and Angry Birds.

The acquisition expands Toy State’s presence to Amsterdam and Japan, as well as in Hong Kong, the location of its current headquarters. The acquisition will also serve as a platform for the company’s continued expansion into Europe. Toy State’s U.S. office is located in Boston.
