Griffin Technology and Crayola have released the Crayola ColorStudio HD for iPad, an accessory and app combo that combines classic coloring fun and modern mobile technology. Crayola ColorStudio HD features the iMarker, a marker-shaped digital stylus that is used to create masterpieces. The iMarker is a marker, crayon, pen, and paintbrush all in one and allows children to interact with animated coloring book pages, which move and react while being colored. Kids can produce custom-made pictures, animations, sound effects, music, and other special effects with each touch on the Multi-Touch display.

This new app can also tell the difference between a child’s own finger inputs and inputs from the iMarker. There are more than 30 animated coloring pages, pictures, sound effects, and music included with the app. Children can also create their own coloring pages by using the built-in library of backgrounds, music, sound effects, and other elements. Children can show off their completed masterpieces by emailing their artwork, uploading it to Facebook, or directly printing it to any Air Print-enabled printer.
