Activision Publishing Inc. has launched #TrapAndPlaySweeps, a three-week sweepstakes for Skylanders fans. Players are instructed to tweet photos or video of themselves playing Skylanders Trap Team to the official Skylanders Twitter channel (@SkylandersGame), using #TrapAndPlaySweeps #Skylanders for the chance to win prizes through December 11.
Osmo, a new game that incorporates a tablet with real play, is now available. It consists of a reflective camera, game pieces, and mobile apps that incorporate an iPad into the games.
With Osmo, the physical space in front of the tablet is transformed into an interactive environment that turns any object into a digitally connected game piece, or captures physical drawings and makes them digital in real time.
Tiggly has launched Tiggly Counts, inspired by the Cuisenaire rods used in Montessori classrooms, and featuring five colorful counting toys that physically interact with new parent- and educator-approved Tiggly learning apps for the iPad. Tiggly’s counting toys and apps are intended to help children develop number sense, counting skills, and a basic understanding of math operations such as addition and subtraction.

The new Skylanders game lets fans seek out and battle villains in Skylands, and once they’ve defeated them, players can place a Trap into the new Traptanium Portal to capture them. Players will be able to hear the villains inside the Traps, and can send the villains back into the game to fight as heroes.
To celebrate the release of Skylanders Trap Team, exclusive Skylanders products are available at retailers nationwide. Toys “R” Us stores in North America and online at toysrus.com are the only places to find the limited edition Legendary Series of Skylanders toys at launch. Activision Publishing Inc. has announced a new game play mode in Skylanders Trap Team for Emperor Kaos, the villain of its Skylanders franchise. In Kaos Doom Challenge, players can battle through increasingly difficult waves of minions, build defensive towers, and utilize both Skylanders and trapped villains from their collections.
Kaos Doom Challenge will also feature the Mystery Box of Doom, which when opened, spits out gigantic villains.
The Skylanders Trap Team Starter Pack will be available October 5 in North America and October 10 in Europe for Nintendo’s Wii and Wii U systems; a variety of iPad, Kindle Fire, and Android tablets; Xbox One and Xbox 360 games; and the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 systems. A unique adventure also will be available on the Nintendo 3DS hand-held system.
Activision Publishing Inc. will bring the complete Skylanders Trap Team video game to tablets at launch, marking the first time a full Skylanders game will be available on iPad, Kindle Fire, and Android tablets day-and-date with the console version. The tablet version of the game delivers the same experience with console-quality graphics and comes with its own high-performance controller.

The Jim Henson Company has launched a new app, Doozer Creek, based on the new animated preschool series from The Jim Henson Company and DHX Media. The release coincides with the show’s premiere on Hulu Kids this past April.
Available now from the App Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, Doozer Creek is designed for children 5 and under, but lets fans of all ages make their own Doozer Creek environment. The app includes seven play pieces free to try with additional playsets available for purchase. Each play set comes with a primary character, as well as a variety of buildings, vehicles, and objects.
Players can place characters, vehicles, buildings, and other elements from Doozer Creek onto a blank play mat where they are brought to life.
