With the help of Spin Master Corp., Queens University Belfast’s Civil Engineering Department completed The Big Bridge Build, which spans nearly 100 feet across Belfast’s Clarendon Dock. This past Saturday, officials from Guinness World Records confirmed the bridge is the world’s largest Meccano structure.

Hasbro and Cartamundi Sign Letter of Intent for East Longmeadow and Ireland Manufacturing Facilities

Hasbro logoHasbro Inc. and Cartamundi Group have signed a letter of intent to sell Hasbro’s manufacturing locations in East Longmeadow, Mass., and Waterford, Ireland to the Cartamundi Group. Cartamundi is a worldwide leader in the production and sales of playing cards and cards for games. Under the terms of the agreement, Cartamundi will continue to employ all regular manufacturing and distribution employees located in East Longmeadow and Waterford on comparable terms.

GP Flair Distributes WWE Construction Toys, Play Sets from The Bridge Direct in UK, Ireland

wweGP Flair has announced that it will be the new UK and Ireland distribution partner for a new range of WWE construction figures and play sets. The new collection, manufactured by U.S. toy company The Bridge Direct, is expected in stores in the late summer.

Designed and manufactured by the Bridge Direct, under the banner “C3” (create, construct, and connect) the new collection will include universally compatible building bricks and accessories that can be constructed into WWE rings, as well as WWE Superstars. At launch multiple SKUs will be available with more in the pipeline for subsequent seasons.
