First appearing in Iron Man No. 304, released in 1994, the Iron Man Mk 14 Hulkbuster armor was an add-on to Tony Stark’s modular armor, and would allow him to stop the Hulk from tearing apart a factory manufacturing gamma bombs.

When you step inside Hollywood Heroes in Westwood, N.J., you can literally smell the nostalgia (for those of you who are unfamiliar, nostalgia smells similar to dust-covered cardboard and childhood memories—but like, in a good way). In the collectible toy shop, bright lights beam down on glass cases displaying superhero relics with more than 40 years under their utility belts, making these toys anything but child’s play.
Owner of the shop and star of the Travel Channel series Toy Hunter, Jordan Hembrough is an expert in the art of toy collecting, with more than 25 years of professional experience dealing toys. However, toys were always an integral part of Hembrough’s life. From schoolyard selling, Hembrough entered the big-time after college, when he secured a job as a buyer for StarLog, a chain of science-fiction-focused retail stores. Despite a lack of business background, Hembrough eventually went on to launch his own company, Hollywood Heroes. “I had the passion, and I think sometimes passion will drive you more than a business plan,” he says. Disney Interactive has released updated details for Marvel’s The Avengers Play Set, which will be available for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) this fall. Diamond Select Toys (DST) will release a line of gift sets inspired by Marvel Comics‘ The Amazing Spider-Man’s earliest appearances, including his original “circle suit” costume that dates back to 1973. Crafted by EMCE Toys, this retro Spider-Man will have removable head and costume, allowing additional heads, hands, outfits, and accessories in the set to turn him into Daily Bugle photographer Peter Parker, or a more comical version of the super-hero.
The 1970s-style Spider-Man figure will come packaged in a reproduction window box inside a larger collector case. Additional outfits and parts will come packaged on an adjacent display tray. The case will also contain a miniature booklet outlining the history of the character.
Future DST figures will include Captain America, Iron Man, and Wolverine, each with alternate outfits and parts. Aimed at the collector’s market, each set is limited to 3,000 pieces. Spider-Man will be on store shelves during the latter part of the year, although pre-orders are currently being taken.
Disney Interactive and Marvel Entertainment are assembling a group of iconic super heroes for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, which will feature more than 20 new interactive figures, as well as original storylines by Marvel comic writer Brian Michael Bendis. Developed by Avalanche Software, the game includes an all-new Toy Box mode, making it easier for players to create and share with family and friends.
