Sprout Introduces New Segment and Co-Star to the Sunny Side Up Show

Sprout has introduced Dial Darryl, a new recurring segment on The Sunny Side Up Showcreated specifically for Sprout Host Hunt winner Darryl Williams. Dial Darryl will highlight different ways preschoolers and their families communicate and interact with loved ones in this digitally evolving age.

Every day on The Sunny Side Up Show, the hosts use technology to communicate live with viewers as they explore different themes such as friends, letters, or animals. When they need a little bit of outside help, they Dial Darryl who will assist them while in the middle of real-life situations any stay-at-home parent can relate to.

The Sunny Side Up Show hosts and Chica will connect with their new castmate for a live video chat. Dial Darryl will tap into everyday parenting questions, show themes, and more. The new segment will officially debut in January.

 

Warner Bros., Sesame Workshop Release Sesame Street: Fairytale Fun DVD

Sesame StreetWarner Bros. Home Entertainment and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, have released Sesame Street: Fairytale Fun on DVD. Now kids can join Elmo and Abby on their educational adventure through fairytales, such as Hansel and Gretel and nursery rhymes with Mother Goose.

The two-hour DVD includes a CinderElmo bonus feature and everyone’s favorite Sesame Street monsters such as Oscar the Grouch. Now in its 44th season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in kids’ TV and this new addition to the program’s collection of DVDs will be just as fun and educational. The Sesame Street: Fairytale Fun release is also available for digital download.

Fisher-Price Continues as Master Toy Partner for Silvergate Media’s Octonauts

OctonautsUK independent entertainment company, Silvergate Media has signed a renewal deal with Fisher-Price Inc. to continue as master toy partner for its preschool property Octonauts.

During its first term, branded toys have hit shelves across the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and the U.S. with an exclusive Toys “R” Us launch.

The animated adventure series has been sold in more than 100 territories and is broadcast on CBeebies in the UK, Disney Junior in the U.S., ABC in Australia, and SuperRTL’s Toggolino in Germany. The extension of the master toy deal will not only bring new toys, but build on the successful broadcast platform as well.
