Kidz Bop has announced that 15-year-old Dallas Wayde is the grand prize winner of its annual Kidz Star USA Talent Search, America’s biggest national talent competition for kids ages 15 and under. Kidz Bop 23, the latest volume in the Kidz Bop audio series, entered the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at No. 2. Kidz Bop 23 is the sixth consecutive Kidz Bop title to debut in the Top 3 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and the 16th title to hit the Billboard Top 10 since the series launched in 2001. KIDZ BOP, the No. 1 music brand for kids ages 5 to 12 in the U.S., is joining forces with Spotify, the award-winning digital music service to launch Kidz Bop Boombox, the first-ever Spotify app created specifically for kids and families. Kidz Bop will embark on a 22-city national tour this summer. The ensemble will be the opening act for the “It’s All About Music” Tour with 11-year-old music sensation, Ethan Bortnick.
Ethan has headlined more than 100 live shows across the globe and, through concert and charity events, has shared the stage with artists such as Beyoncé, Reba McEntire, and Natalie Cole. The Kidz Bop line will feature both fiction and nonfiction books, including a fill-in-the-blank story, a junior novelization chronicling the life of the Kidz Bop Kids, and a rock star’s guide to starting a band. Each Kidz Bop book will be packaged with a special code that will be redeemable for a free Kidz Bop MP3 download.
