LeapFrog Enterprises and Cartoon Network Enterprises have partnered to bring two of Cartoon Network’s shows to LeapFrog’s educational entertainment platforms. The Amazing World of Gumball television series is now available for purchase in the Just For Fun section of the LeapFrog App Center for LeapPad1 and LeapPad2. It is also available on Leapster GS and Leapster Explorer video games systems. Episodes of the Powerpuff Girls series will be available next year for purchase through the LeapFrog App Center.
LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc., and Putumayo Kids are partnering to bring Putumayo music to LeapFrog’s multimedia platforms. Putumayo Kids music is now available for purchase through the LeapFrog App Center for LeapPad1 and the recently launched LeapPad2 and LeapsterGS.
This new partnership marks the first time Putumayo Kids albums will be offered digitally, giving LeapFrog exclusive digital distribution rights through the end of the year. As with all LeapFrog educational content, Putumayo Kids music offers a fun and engaging way for kids to learn. LeapPad2 arrives after the success of its predecessor. Within a year of launch, LeapPad has received more than 20 accolades, including three awards from the Toy Industry Association (Educational Toy of the Year, Preschool Toy of the Year, and Toy of the Year).

Scholastic Media announced a new addition to its global children’s science franchise The Magic School Bus with the release of The Magic School Bus: Oceans for LeapFrog’s award-winning LeapPad and Leapster Explorer; the cartridge game will be available for retail in August for $25. LeapFrog will also have The Magic School Bus: Dino Shuffle app available for download in the LeapFrog App Center for $7.50.
Designed for children ages 5-8, The Magic School Bus: Oceans teaches young gamers hundreds of facts about ocean life through trivia challenges and seven games. Players can earn badges by performing well in games or trivia challenges, and can redeem these badges for additional features—like decorations for the bus or a customized Magic School Bus driver’s license—through the LeapFrog Connect Application.

“One of the key items we selected is Fijit Friends. You look at Fijit and the ability to put it in dance mode, and the voice-recognition and built-in responses. Also, Let’s Rock Elmo is interactive for a much younger child, but we believe interactivity is important.”
